The Extended Computer Availability Service is specifically for Emerson customers with DeltaV systems running Microsoft XP, Server 2003, Server 2008 or Windows 7 Operating Systems. This service is intended for spares, replacements, and minor system expansions.
Easy access to replacement workstations and servers: The configuration of any Emerson-compatible computer is tightly controlled, right down to the switch settings, BIOS, card slot assignments, hard drives, network interface cards, device driver versions, etc. With this service, you have easy access to previously owned replacement workstations and servers* that can no longer be purchased as new, and the assurance of compatibility with your DeltaV distributed control system.
Flexibility with system upgrades: Plant downtime schedules and budgets can greatly affect the ability to upgrade a control system with the latest technology. The Extended Computer Availability Service provides flexibility to upgrade when the time is right for you.
