Emerson introduces the Fisher® CS800 Series of regulators with overpressure protection options
New regulator series offers overpressure protection options for a variety of commercial and industrial applications.

MCKINNEY, TEXAS (March 8, 2011) – Emerson Process Management has released the Fisher® CS800 Series of direct-operated, spring-loaded regulators with overpressure protection options.  The CS800 Series’ application flexibility and installation adaptability make them ideal for industrial and commercial applications needing accurate control, fast speed of response and easy maintenance.

Multiple overpressure protection options are available for the CS800 Series including:

  • Secondary Seat™ Protection: Provides a solution to the most common cause of regulators failing to shutoff.  This new technology employs a secondary seating surface to provide shutoff if the primary orifice seating surface becomes damaged or blocked.
  • Internal Relief: Provides overpressure protection to the downstream system by relieving gas through the diaphragm assembly to atmosphere during an overpressure situation.
  • High Capacity Relief: Provides an increase in relief performance over basic internal relief thereby lowering installation cost by reducing equipment requirements.

The CS800 series is available in numerous body sizes, with flanged or threaded end connections, outlet pressure settings ranging from 3.5-inches w.c. to 7.5 psig (9 to 515 mbar), orifice sizes from 1/4-inch (6.4mm) to 1 3/8-inch (35mm), and the option for internal or external pressure registration.
