Scenario™ simulation using innovative virtual technology replicates traditional control system controllers using a few desktop workstations. Actual DCS controllers are replaced with controller software embedded in Microsoft® Windows®-based workstations. Implementing  a Scenario simulation solution with virtual technology executes the control logic, algorithms, and control timing directly in the Windows operating system environment, leaving the controller code undisturbed. Virtual controllers incorporate all of the functionality of the actual control system controller package.
