Mobrey DS20D/DS21D is a reliable floating roof high level alarm switch. It detects if the floating roof rises too high, and sends an alarm to prevent tank overfilling and subsequent spillage.
High Level Alarm Switch for Roof Detection
The Mobrey DS20D is installed on the inside of the tank such that a dead weight, supported on a stainless steel cable suspended from an extension spring, hangs above the roof at the high level alarm height.
Should the floating roof rise to this level, the dead weight is lifted and the extension spring contracts, thus lifting a magnet to operate the high level alarm switch mechanism inside the explosion proof enclosure.
High Level Alarm Switch for Liquid Detection
In applications where there can be liquid on the floating roof, a Mobrey DS21D with a displacer element is available to detect the liquid and orevent an overfill.
The displacer element has a flat end to ensure it still engages with the floating roof, in the same manner as the dead weight, even when there is no liquid present.
