Increase Plant Productivity with Statistical Process Monitoring
Virtually all dynamic processes have distinctive noise characteristics. Significant changes in process noise levels can indicate the presence of an abnormal condition. The ASP Diagnostics Suite contains patented Statistical Process Monitoring (SPM) technology to proactively detect and make sense of process noise levels, enabling you to better control quality and improve productivity.
Fluid Composition Change
Unexpected liquids in gas flow can cause an over-reading of the DP flow value or wear in downstream components. Unexpected aeration in liquids can cause measurement errors and may impact product quality. In each of these cases, operators may notice a small change in the mean (process variable). However, the SPM diagnostics detect a significant change in standard deviation, signaling an abnormal condition.
Rosemount 3051S Entrained Air Demo

This demonstration shows how the Rosemount 3051S Advanced Diagnostics transmitter interacts with the DeltaV system to detect entrained air in a process loop and alert the operator for response before the problem disrupts the process. (2:38 minutes)
