A wide selection of antennas

When ordering a Rosemount 5600, you can select from a wide range of antenna styles in order to get the best performance based on each application and available process connection.

The antennas range from the small process connection of the rod antenna, with NPT connections, all the way up to the larger parabolic antenna, which is primarily used for long range or solids applications. In between these there are cone antennas, rods and process seal antennas, available in different materials and designs in order to provide the best possible solution.

The transmitter head can easily be removed from the antenna assembly for replacement or service, without opening the tank.

5601 Extended Cone antennas
For long nozzles, it is recommended that the cone antenna reaches below the end of the nozzle. The standard cone antennas may in longer nozzles not reach down long enough and for this purpose the Rosemount 5600 can be equipped with an extended cone antenna. These are by default 20 in (500 mm) long. Using these cones in long nozzles improves measuring performance.
