A wide selection of antennas

When ordering a Rosemount 5600, you can select from a wide range of antenna styles in order to get the best performance based on each application and available process connection.

The antennas range from the small process connection of the rod antenna, with NPT connections, all the way up to the larger parabolic antenna, which is primarily used for long range or solids applications. In between these there are cone antennas, rods and process seal antennas, available in different materials and designs in order to provide the best possible solution.

The transmitter head can easily be removed from the antenna assembly for replacement or service, without opening the tank.

5601 Cone antennas
The cone antenna is the most commonly used antenna since it is able to handle a broad range of applications, both in free-radiating and pipe installations. The cone antenna is also available in Hastelloy, Titanium and Monel material. Antennas in these exotic materials make the cone suitable also for corrosive applications.

The cone antennas are designed with a protective plate. This plate enables the possibility of using a standard material slip-on flange, since the protective plate is the wetted part. It also limits the need for shipping large flanges, since the slip-on flange can be supplied locally.
