Measurement of liquids in high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) applications

High temperature and pressure level applications require more than a general purpose transmitter with thicker material or additional cooling capacity. These applications require a design that can adapt to thermal expansion and contraction, retain strength and provide efficient feed through of microwave signals. Emerson Process Management has designed Rosemount 3300 Series to meet these requirements. The new High Pressure and Temperature Rosemount 3300 Series is now available with probe types that can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (345 Bar) and temperatures up to 752 F (400 C).

This makes it suitable for service on refinery distillation columns, power plants and industrial utility heaters, gas-oil production separators and compressor tanks. Some of the interface applications include olefin and butanediol and oil and water separators.
