Advanced Vibration Analysis

Course 2033      CEUs: 2.8
This 4-day course completes the single-channel vibration analysis training program.

Overview
The students will be provided with a machine diagram, machine speed(s), measurement point list, before and after vibration data, and the results of any special testing that was conducted on machinery case histories. The class will analyze the data as a group focusing on spectral frequency content, waveform characteristics, phase readings and machinery operating parameters. The class will detail advanced demodulation techniques. The dual channel features will be introduced including the use of AMS Machinery Manager to set up the advanced machinery analyzer features and the powerful downloadable programs for data collection. The transient capabilities will be covered such as long-term time waveform. The class covers advanced resonance detection using a variety of testing methods, including triggered data collection. Orbits, cross phase, coherence, zoom, SST, waveform parameters and PeakVue methods are discussed in detail. Advanced Transient and Advanced 2-channel downloadable programs will be covered at an introductory level. Students attending this course will receive a complimentary copy of the Simplified Handbook of Vibration Analysis, Volume II, by Art Crawford.

Prerequisites:
Intermediate Vibration and 1 - 3 years vibration experience is recommended.
