JuniorSonic one-path or two-path, single bounce designs provide a lower cost solution for production measurement, gas storage, and wet gas applications where fiscal measurement is not required. The two-path design provides redundancy for more critical applications.
Each path is comprised of ultrasonic transducers that act alternately as transmitter and receiver. Upstream and downstream measurement times are accurately measured, and the difference is directly proportional to the velocity and volume of flowing natural gas. All transducers are extractable for ease of inspection.
This meter includes Mark III™ Electronics, ensuring faster management of measurement information including alarm, audit, system, hourly, and daily log data. Featuring the Windows-based Customer Ultrasonic Interface (CUI) software, virtually all live data is simultaneously displayed in an easy-to-understand graphical format. Important real-time, advanced meter diagnostics are readily viewed, such as flow profile, speed of sound, signal-to- noise ratio, transducer gain, digital waveforms and much more.
The JuniorSonic Flow Meter provides an economical advantage to ultrasonic measurement and can utilize the digital communications of the Series 100 Plus Option Board. This board provides a direct input of pressure, temperature, and gas composition into the meter which allows the meter to act as a redundant flow computer; it calculates corrected volume rates, mass rates, energy rates, and AGA 10 speed of sound. In addition, it allows the meter to communicate directly with the Plantweb digital architecture via the HART protocol using AMS® Device Manager or a 375 Field Communicator.
