Advanced functionality
Daniel Series 1200 Liquid Turbine Flow Meter is a volumetric flow metering and transmitting device used extensively in the petroleum industry for the accurate measurement of liquid hydrocarbons. The meter's simple configuration assures high flow rates, extended flow range and sustained accuracy, with superior repeatability and unmatched reliability.
The primary reason for this superior performance with light hydrocarbons is the Series 1200 lightweight rotor. This rotor is free spinning on flow-through bearings, which have a self cleaning design.
Series 1200 Turbine Flow Meter is versatile and operates in both horizontal and vertical installations. It features an expanding hanger to center the internal assembly in the body. All turbine meter installations should incorporate a method for flow conditioning by using either a standard upstream and downstream section (per API chapter 5, section 3) or a flow conditioning plate. Series 1200 turbine meters have an integral flow conditioning plate as a standard feature for sizes 1.5 inch and larger.
This meter is designed for use within the guidelines of API Standards, Chapter 5.3, (Measurement of Liquid Hydrocarbon by Turbine Meter) and the test procedures of API, Chapter 4 (Proving Systems).
