Bristol® OpenBSI Utilities Suite
Two basic OpenBSI Utilities packages are available that offer the optimum functionality to technicians, engineers and operators.
BSI Config - Designed for technician set-up and configuration of all ControlWave and Bristol brand RTU, PLC, Flow Computer, controller and 3808 transmitter products. It provides local connection to the device to be configured and supports:
- LocalView for local connection to Bristol products.
- DataViewer for access to real-time and historical access.
- Communication StatLocalView for local connection to Bristol products istics.
- ACCOL and ControlWave Designer file downloaders.
- Set-up and configuration of 33XX, ControlWave, 3530 TeleProducts and 3808 MVT transmitters.
- WebBSI - webpage interface.
- TeleProducts web pages & ActiveX controls.
- Firmware flash-download of all flash-based products.
- Hardware diagnostics.
- Supports BSAP and IP networks.
OpenBSI Network Edition - Designed for engineers and operators. Includes all of the capabilities of the BSI Config, or Local Edition, but allows global network-wide access to all products. Additional utilities include:
- NetView for global, network-wide access to real-time & historical data, programming and operator HMI.
- Network tuning wizard.
- BSAP to IP redirector.
- Backup communication lines.
- Alarm Router.
- Support for Harvester, OPC Server and Object Server.

- Supports ControlWave and Network 3000 serial and IP protocols
- RS 232, Dial-line, cellular, radio, CDPD, satellite, and Ethernet connections
- Provides on-line download & signal variable changes
- Allows signal searches based on selective criteria
- Allows network configuration through NetView
- PC and Network communication diagnostics
- OPC Server for interfacing to most HMI software
- Data Collector and Scheduler Utilities
- Collects historical data on request or scheduled basis
