Emerson’s Asset Optimization division is a separate division under Emerson Process Management. Asset Optimization was established in 2004 to help drive excellence in asset management, to build greater integration between control systems, valves, and instrumentation and take all the data that comes from these intelligent devices and use it to optimize our customer’s plant maintenance and operations.
The Asset Optimization division is divided into two areas of expertise: PlantWeb Technology and Services, and Asset Reliability Services. The PlantWeb Technology and Services group encompasses Emerson’s AMS Suite plant asset management (PAM) offerings and related services. The Asset Reliability Services group includes a wide range of services designed to increase plant reliability across the full spectrum of plant assets including mechanical equipment, electrical systems, instruments and valves.
- Mechanical Equipment
- For mechanical equipment, Emerson offers vibration analysis services, infrared thermography, sonic and ultrasonic analysis, motor analysis, oil analysis, and laser alignment and balancing.
- Electrical Systems
- For electrical equipment these services include startup and commissioning, arc flash solutions, engineering studies, predictive and preventive maintenance, repair and replacement, educational services, and emergency related services.
- Instruments & Valves
- In the instrument and valve business, this means providing services for startup, OEM repair and replacement, certified calibrations, inventory optimization, on site mobile service centers, and emergency related services.
