EIM Product Time Line 
EIM has manufactured high quality valve actuators since 1949.  Our company history time line is shown below.

1940s

Introduction of EIM type "E" electric actuators with patents that set the standards for actuator accessories:

Reversing starter in switch compartment
Torque switch for opening direction
Stem nut/bushings removable from top

1950's
Expansion of type "E" electric and 'G" product lines to cover any size or type valves. 



1960s

Further expansion of electric product line and introduction of type "EB" with increased stem capacities, torque and thrust values.

Introduction of EIM's exclusive Modular Control Package (MCP), allowing all electrical accessories to be easily removed from switch compartment.

1970s
Major expansion of manufacturing facilities. Introduction of computers for engineering, scheduling and sales functions. 


1980s
Introduction of type "2000" product line, replacing "EB" actuators.

Development of actuator industry's first digital control system, EIM's Controlinc.

 
1990s
Upgrade and redesign of Modular Control Package (M2CP).

Further digital control innovations resulting in the Controlinc 320A, the most advanced digital valve controller on the market today.

 
2004
EIM introduces the TEC2000 Non-Intrusive Actuator


2005
EIM introduces the HQ Series Quarter Turn Actuator
