Unit Response Optimization
SmartProcess™ Unit Response Optimization uses advanced unit analysis and modeling techniques to provide optimal load trajectory and control for improved ramping, startup, unit turndown, and overall performance. By modeling process response and unit characteristics, the Unit Response Optimizer calculates a variable derivative ramp rate to optimize plant maneuverability and AGC capabilities, eliminate overshoots, and provide a high level of unit control precision.
The Unit Response Optimizer software increases ramping capabilities by using actual
plant data to create a model of process response and unit characteristics. The nonlinear
and fuzzy-logic-based model analyzes near real-time plant data to determine optimum
performance conditions and react and correct plant responses.
