  • FOUNDATION fieldbus. Delivers savings in wiring, commissioning, and ongoing operations and maintenance, all with plug and play ease. User installations using the DeltaV system with FOUNDATION fieldbus have documented reductions of more than 90% in wiring costs, more than 80% in startup engineering costs, and more than 75% in panel space.
  • AMSinside DeltaV for FOUNDATION fieldbus. Shifts preventive to predictive maintenance by easily tapping in to the advanced diagnostics within intelligent fieldbus devices.
  • Batch. Delivers and easy to configure, use, and validate batch capability with a single engineering database for recipe management and control, and a seamless interface between batch operations and control.
  • Batch History. Integrates batch history providing users the complete picture for process improvement and requires ZERO configuration effort-- easy.
  • Continuous Historian. Uses the PI™ Data Server, from OSI and provides a database designed for historical storage, retrieval, and integration. The PI™ Data Server is embedded into the DeltaV system, making configuration, installation, and operation easy.
  • Process History View. Provides the easy to use capability of integrating related continuous and event data in a single chart.
  • System Scaleup. Increases the size and scope of DeltaV applications with a 50x increase in database size up to 5,000 I/O channels for control with another 20,000 I/O channels for monitor applications.
  • New Controllers and Controller Redundancy. Increases system availability with redundant M3 and M5 controller options. The M3 and M5 controllers deliver more than twice the performance of the M2 controllers.
  • OPC Mirror. Simplifies integration with other systems and applications. The OPC mirror connects two OPC servers via simple drag and drop methods, eliminating costly proprietary interfaces.
  • Y2K Compliance. Delivers full Year 2000 compliance.
  • DeltaV Tune. Reduces process variability with the patented autotuner technology. DeltaV Tune works with both PID and fuzzy logic-based control to improve process operations.
  • DeltaV Fuzzy. Incorporates easy to use fuzzy logic control into the DeltaV configuration application as a standard function block. Since this fuzzy logic controller can be autotuned, it is now as easy as PID control for users to implement in day to day operations.
  • Analog Output HART Grows the suite HART I/O cards to include HART analog output devices such as Fisher DVC 5000 positioners.
  • Bulk Edit Configuration. Allows fast entry of data for modules or I/O in a spreadsheet or relational database. Bulk editing is when you want to make similar changes to a large amount of items, such as enabling all I/O channels.
  • Language Support. Delivers DeltaV in French, German, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese languages.
  • Simulation. Incorporates mimic simulation software to speed up configuration development and testing.
  • Control Software in Application Station. Expands the ability to integrate external data from OPC and other sources into DeltaV control strategies for better plant performance.
  • Hubs. Delivers optional dual port (10Mb/100Mb) communications hub to the DeltaV Control Network.
